Samsung appears to be gearing up for its biggest Galaxy S launch yet, with fresh evidence suggesting the company will introduce a brand-new Galaxy S27 Pro alongside its usual flagship models next year.
Newly discovered records in the GSMA database point to four Galaxy S27 series smartphones currently in development. While Samsung has not officially announced the devices, the listings offer one of the clearest signs yet of the company’s plans for its 2027 flagship range.
According to the documents, model number SM-S956U is listed as the Galaxy S27+, while SM-S958U is identified as the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The biggest surprise comes from model number SM-S957B/DS, which is named the Galaxy S27 Pro, marking a new addition to Samsung’s premium smartphone family.
A separate GSMA listing had previously revealed the standard Galaxy S27 under model number SM-S952U.
The appearance of all four devices suggests Samsung could launch the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra together early next year. A more affordable Galaxy S27 FE model could follow later in 2027.
Galaxy S27 Pro could bridge the gap between Plus and Ultra
Leaks and industry reports indicate that the Galaxy S27 Pro may borrow many of the top features expected on the Galaxy S27 Ultra while offering a slightly smaller design.
The device is rumoured to feature a 6.47-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, making it more compact than the Ultra variant. Unlike Samsung’s top-end flagship, the Pro model is also expected to skip support for the S Pen.
Camera hardware could still be a major selling point. Reports suggest the phone may include a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens capable of 3.5x optical zoom. A 12-megapixel selfie camera is also expected.
On the performance side, the Galaxy S27 Pro is rumoured to run on Samsung’s customised Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for Galaxy chipset. The device could ship with at least 12GB RAM, 256GB of UFS 5.0 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W or faster charging support.
While Samsung has yet to confirm any details, the latest database entries suggest the company is preparing a broader flagship lineup than ever before, with the Galaxy S27 Pro potentially becoming the newest member of the Galaxy S family.
