Earlier, US CENTCOM targeted sites near the Strait of Hormuz in Iran, prompting Iran to attack US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Navy and Air Force launched ballistic missiles and drones at the US Army at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the US Fifth Naval Fleet at Port Salman in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
Bahrain and Kuwait activated air raid sirens amid the drone interception and urged residents to remain calm.
The US bombed Iran for a second day, hitting Qeshm Island and the cities of Sirik and Bandar-e Lengeh.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged the US to push Israel to stop its attacks on Lebanon, adding that the Strait of Hormuz remains under the “total oversight and management” of Iran for the next 30 days.
