Laadi Gang surrenders to DG Khan police

District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ghazi Khan, Sadiq Hussain, said on Wednesday while speaking to Pakistan Connect that eight members of the notorious Laadi Gang from DG Khan’s Kot Mubarak area surrendered to the district police.

DPO DG Khan explained the surrender details of the Laadi Gang. According to the details, the gang leader, Ibrahim Chakrani, also surrendered with seven other gang members.

The gang members include Ibrahim Chakrani, Essa Jeeyani, Usman Jeeyani, Jalal Dhora, Ali Muhammad Jeeyani, Siddique Jeeyani, Saleem Chakrani, and Qaiser Chakrani.

DPO Sadiq Hussain said that there are two types of cases against all the members of the Laadi Gang. In some cases, the complainants are private, and in some cases, the police are complainants, the DPO added.

DPO DG Khan further explained that all the members of the Laadi Gang will be dealt with according to the law. In the 1st phase, Laadi gang members will solve their issues with private complainants, and then matters will enter the 2nd phase.

Sadiq Hussain also confirmed that the Laadi gang members will be punished in accordance with the law in cases in which the police are complainants.

Similarly, DPO DG Khan Sadiq Hussain reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating crime and gang culture in Dera Ghazi Khan district. He also praised the DG Khan police for their efforts to eliminate gangs from DG Khan and its surrounding areas.

Earlier, the former (late) Laadi gang leader Khuda Bakhsh Chakrani alias Khudi Chakrani was killed in a police encounter on July 18, 2021, in the jurisdiction of the Kot Mubarak police station, DG Khan.

Khudi Chakrani allegedly kidnapped his rival Ramzan from the Koh-e-Suffaido tribal area in DG Khan. After kidnapping, Chakrani cut off Ramzan’s hands, nose, and legs and filmed him. The video of this brutality went viral.

However, Chakrani was killed in July 2021 with one of his gang members in Dera Ghazi Khan.
