No cash in your pocket – you can still visit passport office

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced cashless transactions at passport offices across Pakistan to facilitate citizens of the country, the private media outlet reported on Wednesday.

Mohsin Naqvi also said that the applicants, from now on, will not have to stand in long queues or wait.

Interior Minister wrote on X, “Alhamdulillah, starting today, cashless transactions are operational at all Passport Offices across Pakistan. Applicants no longer need to stand in long queues or wait for hours to make payments. This important reform was initiated on the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and our team has successfully delivered it.”

He further added that “this is another step towards making public services faster, more transparent, and more convenient for our citizens. Many more milestones lie ahead, and, InshaAllah, we will continue to achieve them. Well done to the entire Passport team. Keep up the excellent work.”

Mohsin Naqvi also praised the entire passport team for doing excellent work.

Earlier, the Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Mohsin Naqvi, on Tuesday, arrived in Riyadh on an official visit to Saudi Arabia.

This visit marks a major step in strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The Minister was received by Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport.
