Pakistan has qualified for the main event of the Esports Nations Cup 2026 after defeating India 2-1 in the South and East Asia regional qualifier.

The two teams met in the lower-bracket final on July 1, with the winner claiming the second and final qualification spot available from the region. Mongolia secured the first qualifying place.

Pakistan opened its campaign with a 2-0 win over Bangladesh before losing 2-0 to Mongolia. India followed a similar path, losing to Mongolia before keeping its hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh.

That set up a best-of-three decider between Pakistan and India for a place at the tournament in Riyadh. Pakistan won the series 2-1 to book its place in the main event.

The Pakistani team was represented by YawaR, ritiredota, Mr.DeviL, Ahsan and Sanity, with Tultras serving as head coach.

The Dota 2 competition at the Esports Nations Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2 to 8 November.

A total of 32 national teams will compete in the tournament. The field includes 16 directly invited teams, 14 teams that qualify through regional competitions and two wildcard entries.

The teams will be divided into four groups of eight, with the top four from each group progressing to the single-elimination knockout stage.

Pakistan’s victory ended India’s campaign in the Dota 2 regional qualifiers. India, however, has already qualified for the Esports Nations Cup in the Valorant competition.
