Brave Air Force officer group Captain Asim martyred rescuing woman in Islamabad

Group Captain Asim was passing through Ninth Avenue when he saw a woman getting off a motorcycle while a motorcyclist was pulling her by the hand.

As a responsible citizen, Group Captain Asim turned back and stopped near the motorcycle, upon which the woman ran to the other side of his vehicle.

Meanwhile, the alleged suspect, Saad, started using abusive language toward Group Captain Asim and, within moments, opened fire on him.

Group Captain Asim succumbed to his injuries and embraced martyrdom, while the suspect fled the scene.

According to the police:

The woman stated that the suspect was her colleague at the office, who had offered to take her to work with him.

However, he changed the route and wanted to take her somewhere else, upon which she resisted him.

“Group Captain Asim intervened in time and saved me,” the woman said.

At present, law enforcement agencies are conducting operations to arrest the suspect.

Group Captain Asim Shaheed leaves behind a widow, a daughter, and a son among his bereaved family.

Tributes are being paid to Group Captain Asim’s sacrifice across the country.

On national and social media, he is being remembered as a brave officer who sacrificed his life to protect a woman.

Group Captain Asim’s sacrifice reflects the fact that the soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces are not only guardians of the nation’s borders but also protectors of honour.
