Jetour has officially launched its T2 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Pakistan.
United Motors announced the launch of the Jetour T2 PHEV on July 6, expanding its business of hybrid vehicles in the local market.
The new SUV combines an electric motor with a petrol engine, allowing drivers to use electric power for shorter trips while relying on the gasoline engine for longer journeys.
The Jetour T2 PHEV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a front-wheel-drive system.
According to the company, the hybrid powertrain produces a combined output of 360 horsepower and 610Nm of torque.
The vehicle is equipped with an 18.4kWh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, which the company says provides a pure electric driving range of up to 90 kilometres under the NEDC test cycle. It also claims a combined driving range of up to 1,100 kilometres with both the battery and fuel tank.
United Motors says the SUV supports DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in around 30 minutes.
The Jetour T2 PHEV measures 4,785mm in length, 2,006mm in width and 1,880mm in height, with a 2,800mm wheelbase and a 70-litre fuel tank.
The SUV comes with six driving modes — Normal, Sport, Economy, Snow, EV and HEV, while standard safety features include six airbags.
