Jannik Sinner was the winner of the Wimbledon final on Sunday, holding onto his title against the German Alexander Zverev. The match ended in four sets and Sinner won 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4.
The win has made Sinner the 10th player in the professional era to hold the Wimbledon singles championship for two years, cementing his reputation as one of the top talents of the era.
The Italian also closed in on the total of seven Grand Slams that rivals the number of grand slams that Carlos Alcaraz holds.
Zverev won the first set, in a closely fought tight tiebreak, but Sinner in the second set responded and won it, equalising the scores.

The momentum of the match began to swing in the third set as Zverev slipped on a drop shot and the ground briefly made contact with his right knee, which seemed to have injured his knee.
He was able to continue, but Sinner broke serve shortly after and went up 2-0.
The world no.1 stayed in command in the fourth set and made a break for a 4-3 lead before going out for a serve.
Sinner celebrated his back-to-back win at Wimbledon by falling down on Centre Court.
Wimbledon is the most special place to play tennis and the fans had been very supportive during the match, Sinner said after the win.
It was Zverev’s fourth loss in a Grand Slam final.
Though disappointed, he praised Sinner and said that the Italian is the top player in the world.
