Novak Djokovic has declared he’s not ready to walk away from Wimbledon, despite being eliminated in straight sets by Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals on Friday.
The world number one also went on a red hot run, taking a seven-time Wimbledon champion 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, to deny Djokovic his 39th Grand Slam singles final and a potential record 25th major title.
The 39-year-old ruled out the notion that he might be playing his final game at the All England Club, following a somewhat demoralising defeat.
When they asked him if he would go back next year he said: “I would like to, at least one more time. Let’s see.”

The Serbian confessed that he didn’t play up to his usual form against Sinner, but was pleased with his results throughout the tournament.
Djokovic emphasized that he is still in the mix with the world’s top players, as he won the quarter-final win over third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime yesterday.
“I’m disappointed because I wanted to win Wimbledon. So, that’s why I’m pushing myself so hard,” Djokovic said.
“But the fact that I am in the semi-finals and playing at this level proves I am still a strong player.”
He hasn’t won a Grand Slam since the 2023 US Open, but younger players are still vying for his attention, and Djokovic is convinced that his competitive fire is still alive.
The former world number one is now focused on the US Open, the last Grand Slam of the year.
He emphasized he competed because of his own drive and not because of the expectations of others.
I’m not under any pressure or being pushed at all. I do what I want to do and because I still can. Let’s see what the future brings,” he said.
