Field Marshal Asim Munir arrives in Turkiye for two-day visit

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, has arrived in Turkiye on a two-day official visit.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was warmly received upon his arrival in Turkiye, security sources said.

During the visit, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will hold important meetings with Turkiye’s military and political leadership, security sources said.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, with the President of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif have departed for Qatar. It will be a one-day visit. The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen the long-standing, decades-old relationship between the two brotherly countries.

The PM will also offer condolences to the Emir of Qatar on the demise of his father, the former Emir. It is expected that the Pakistani delegation will be recieving agrand welcome when they reach Qatar.

After that, a series of high-level meetings will take place. In the delagation the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar will also be present.

Pakistan and Qatar not only enjoy a great political relationship but also a great economic and public level. The countries have major agreements in the energy and oil sector. These agreements are regarding LNG imports, which serve as the backbone of the Pakistani economy.
