PM Shehbaz, Field Marshal Asim Munir Featured Among 500 Most Influential Muslims

Web desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, have been included in the list of The 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World for 2025. The said list has been released by Jordan’s Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre.

The annual list highlights prominent Muslim figures from across the world who have made significant contributions in politics, religion, science, culture, and other fields.

500 Most Influential Muslims

Pakistan’s renowned religious scholar and internationally renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani has also been named the second most influential figure in the Muslim world.

According to the list, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has been ranked as the most influential Muslim in the world. Pakistan’s renowned scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani has been named the second most influential figure.

Alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, prominent Pakistani scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel has also been featured among the top 50 most influential Muslims globally.

Other global leaders featured in the list include Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. And United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Among the Pakistani personalities in the top 50, Mufti Taqi Usmani holds the second position, and Maulana Tariq Jameel ranks 32nd. Maulana Nazar-ur-Rehman is placed 41st, and Sheikh Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri stands at 44th.

The list also includes other distinguished Pakistanis among the remaining 450. Such as Dr Farhat Hashmi, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. And Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, and scientist Professor Atta-ur-Rehman.

The Pakistani personalities included in the list of the world’s 500 most influential Muslim personalities include the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Also, Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman, Hamid Mir, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Dr Omar Saif, Malala Yousafzai and other prominent Pakistani personalities.

The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC) is an independent research institute based in Amman, Jordan. Established in 2007.

It operates as a semi-autonomous branch of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought. Which is a non-governmental organisation also located in Amman.

The RISSC is dedicated to the study and promotion of traditional, orthodox, and moderate interpretations of Islam.
