The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced a 50 per cent increase in exam duty payments, according to reports on Wednesday.
This has come as a great news for teachers who are performing examination duties in Lahore.
How much exam duty payment will Lahore teachers get?
According to the revised rates, the daily payment for a superintendent has increased from Rs1,560 to Rs2,340.
A deputy superintendent will now receive Rs1,800, which has been increased from Rs1,260.
The payment for invigilation staff has also been increased from Rs1,000 to Rs1,500 per day.
The mobile inspector payment has also increased from Rs1,080 to Rs1,620, and the distributor inspector payment has been raised from Rs1,200 to Rs1,800.
In addition to this, the practical examiner payment has increased from Rs1,540 to Rs2,310.
Lahore Board Controller of Examinations Tauseef ur Rehman said that the increase recognises the hard work, honesty, and valuable services of teachers during the examination process.
Salary increase for TTS university teachers
Recently, the federal government approved a 35 per cent increase in the salaries of university teachers working under the Tenure Track System (TTS). The revised pay package came into effect on July 1, 2026.
The new package includes increased salaries for professors, associate professors, and assistant professors.
After the changes, the minimum salary of a TTS professor has increased from Rs394,875 to Rs407,230. The annual increment has risen from Rs19,305 to Rs20,320. The maximum salary has also increased to Rs712,030.
For associate professors, the minimum salary has increased from Rs263,250 to Rs370,810, and the annual increment has been increased from Rs15,356 to Rs18,320.
In addition to this, the maximum salary has increased to Rs645,610.
Assistant professors will now receive a minimum salary of Rs288,020, up from Rs75,500.
Their annual increment has increased from Rs12,065 to Rs17,720. The maximum salary has been raised to Rs553,820.
