The fans of Batman will have to wait even longer for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman II after Warner Bros. released the new release date.
DC Studios and Warner Bros. have further delayed the release of the film.
The long-anticipated sequel will finally be available in IMAX cinemas on February 18, 2028, which was originally announced to be released on October 1, 2027.
The new postponement comes yet again after the movie already experienced a number of delays since its first announcement.

For fans, however, a disappointing announcement was not enough. So, director Matt Reeves announced the first camera test footage of Robert Pattinson in the iconic Batsuit.
The clip, while short, provides a glimpse of Gotham’s Caped Crusader as well as igniting excitement for the much anticipated sequel.
Reeves is now headlining and co-writing with Mattson Tomlin, echoing the earthy and noir vibe that proved to be a critical and commercial success in 2022 in The Batman.
More details of the story are tightly guarded and Warner Bros. has yet to reveal what the movie’s about.
The sequel is also set to be an ensemble affair with Pattinson also joined by Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch, though their characters haven’t been revealed.
The first Batman grossed over $770 million globally and put Pattinson’s version of the Caped Crusader amongst one of Warner Bros’ most successful modern superhero films.
The Batman Part II has been a troubled production. The sequel was originally scheduled to be released on October 3, 2025, but had to be postponed after the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strike in 2023, then again to 2027 and now to early 2028.
