Ikhtiar Wali Condemns KP CM’s Remarks

Web desk: Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for Information & Broadcasting and KP Affairs, former MPA from Nowshera (PK-63), Ikhtiar Wali, strongly criticised Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi over his remarks about the Pakistan Army.

He said, “Sohail Afridi is spreading such filthy propaganda against the Pakistan Army that his tone is reeking a stench of foulness and rot.”

Responding to the CMs remarks, he added, ” Remember, you are a conductor, you have come to the driving seat for a while, just like guest actors in films, your status is no higher than that.”

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi

Meanwhile, Chairman of the All Pakistan Ulema Council, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, also condemned the Chief Minister’s statement. He said it was “highly regrettable” and an attempt to tarnish Pakistan’s image.

Ashrafi said, “Even India has not made the kind of accusations that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made against the Pakistan Army.”

He emphasised that the Pakistan Army is the protector of mosques and madrasas. He assured that these places of worship will always remain safe under its security.

“The basis of the Pakistan Army is faith, piety, and jihad in the way of Allah,” he said. He added that the army has fought and won major wars against terrorism and continues to defend the country.

Ashrafi said the Chief Minister’s statement regarding mosques was “misleading and irresponsible,” warning that such remarks only serve the interests of Pakistan’s enemies.

“Do not go to such extremes in political opposition that the dignity of the country, nation, and Pakistan Army is harmed,” he cautioned.

He further asked, “Did the Chief Minister and his colleagues ever speak when the bodies were being taken from the mosques?”

Ashrafi pointed out that about 70 per cent of terrorist incidents in Pakistan have taken place on Fridays. Targeting mosques and worshippers.

“What the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said in hatred has nothing to do with reality,” he added. “Such talk only benefits the enemy.”
