Air Arabia has announced the gradual resumption of its flight operations, with a limited number of services now running to and from the United Arab Emirates following recent disruptions.

The airline said current operations are subject to regulatory and operational approvals, with services being restored in phases. At present, the reduced schedule covers a network of 52 international destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Flights have resumed to key regional cities including Beirut and Bahrain, as well as major destinations in Bangladesh such as Dhaka and Chittagong. Services are also operating across Egypt, including Cairo, Alexandria, Cairo Sphinx Airport, and Sohag.

The resumed network further includes routes to Addis Ababa, Athens, and multiple cities across India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi.

In addition, flights are operating to destinations across Iraq, Jordan, and Kenya, as well as Kathmandu and Salalah.

For South Asian travellers, services include major cities in Pakistan such as Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore. The airline is also operating flights to key destinations in Saudi Arabia including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

Further destinations include Colombo, Damascus, Bangkok, and cities in Turkey such as Istanbul and Trabzon.

Air Arabia advised passengers that the flight schedule remains subject to change and urged travellers to check the latest updates before departure.

Emirates announces new update on flights, refunds

Emirates, on the other hand, issued an important update regarding flight disruptions and refund options, while thanking passengers for their patience and understanding during the ongoing situation.

The airline has introduced a range of flexible options for travellers affected between February 28 and May 31.

Passengers whose travel plans have been disrupted will be rebooked on the next available Emirates flight, including those with onward connections beyond Dubai.

Rebooking options

Even if your flight has not been affected, you can still change your booking and select an alternative flight for travel up to June 15.

Changes can be made through the “Manage Your Booking” section or via the Emirates mobile app if your departure is within 72 hours. If online changes are not possible, passengers can contact the airline directly. Those who booked through a travel agent must reach out to their agent for assistance.

Refund process

Travellers who booked directly with Emirates can request a refund by filling out the official refund form. If the ticket was purchased through a travel agency, refunds must be processed through the agent.

Passengers are advised to complete any rebooking before applying for a refund, as unused segments of the ticket will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
