Anniqa Meraj will represent Pakistan in the upcoming “Miss World” competition as she will travel to Vietnam in August this year, Miss Pakistan World Organisation President Sonia Ahmad confirmed while talking to Pakistan Connect on a phone call.
Miss World official Instagram page also announced Anniqa Meraj’s participation in the competition. The official post on the Miss World Instagram page says, “Anniqa Meraj has been crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026 and will represent Pakistan at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival, to be held in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.”
The coronation ceremony was held in Lahore, and Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, Dr Shafaq Akhtar and Mr Pakistan World, Attaullah Gujjar, crowned her.
Anniqa Meraj is an Economics and Business Administration graduate. She is currently doing a master’s in Audit and Accounting.
Anniqa Meraj said, ‘My future aspirations are to fulfil my dream of becoming a State-Authorised Public Accountant. Along with this, I want to actively advocate for children’s rights and girls’ education to help build a brighter future for Pakistan.’
Previously, Anniqa Meraj represented Pakistan in Miss Earth, Miss Global, Miss Cosmo, Miss Eco International, and Miss Aura International competitions.
Miss Pakistan World Organisation President Sonia Ahmad concluded, while speaking to Pakistan Connect, that Pakistan’s participation in “Miss World” is a historic moment. She further said that Pakistan’s official participation in “Miss World” is a major achievement for the country. She added that Pakistani women are demonstrating their capabilities on a global level.
