Pakistan’s test captain Babar Azam, gave a fantastic batting performance in the two match Test series against West Indies.
He not only contributed greatly to his side’s performance but also equalled a record of Imran Khan as Test captain.
In the second Test, Pakistan defeated the West Indies by eight wickets to make the series even 1-1.
Babar Azam’s consistent fine batting during the series was the highlight of the series.
Babar Azam has definitely been the main force in the series with a superb average of 96.50 and has hit a total of 193 runs in four innings.
He hit 23 runs in the first innings of the first Test and scored a half-century in the second innings.

His brilliant 88-run second Test innings helped Pakistan seize a decisive advantage in the first half of the second Test.
During the run chase in the concluding innings of the series, Babar Azam was unbeaten with a score of 24 runs off 30 balls, including two sixes and two fours, in the 75-run target and thus helped Pakistan to victory with the loss of just two wickets.
Babar Azam was named Player of the Series with West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves for his outstanding performance in the series. Justin Greaves scored 111 runs and took 7 wickets in four innings.
Babar Azam’s first Player of the Series of his Test career and 10th in international cricket. Prior to this, he had won the award five times in Twenty20 Internationals and four times in One-Day Internationals.
The feat brings Babar Azam to the same tally as Imran Khan and Wasim Akram for Pakistan to win the most Player of the Series awards (10) in international cricket. In this list Waqar Younis comes fourth with the nine Player of Series awards won.
