The Men’s National Selection Committee of Pakistan has announced a 16-member squad to play a two-match test series against Bangladesh, which will happen next month.

The series, a part of the current ICC World Test Championship, will start at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka between May 8 and 12.
The second and the last Test will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium located in Sylhet between May 16 and 20.
In the red-ball format, Shan Masood will still be the captain of the side. There are also four uncapped players in the squad. Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori are getting their maiden call to the national Test team.
Five of the players who have been selected in the squad are presently in NCA Red-Ball Camp in Lahore. These players include Azan Awais, Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan.
On April 27 the Pakistan team will meet in Karachi and hold a preparatory camp until May 1. The group should arrive in Bangladesh on May 2.
The current players in HBL PSL Xl will be invited to the training camp once their franchise campaigns are over.
Team players of the teams that make it to the final will go straight to Bangladesh following the end of the tournament.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has also announced its coaching team for the tour. Pakistan’s former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is the new head coach, Asad Shafiq and Umar Gul will be the batting coach and bowling coach respectively.
