Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has opened up about an unpleasant experience with Botox treatment, revealing that the procedure left one side of her face drooping and changed the shape of her lips.
Sharing details of the incident, the actress said she experienced unexpected facial changes several days after undergoing the cosmetic procedure. According to Bushra Ansari, she went to sleep on the same side of her face where the Botox treatment had been administered.
Five to six days later, she noticed that one side of her face had started drooping, while the shape of her lips had also changed. The sudden changes left her frightened, as she initially feared that she might have suffered a stroke.
Bushra Ansari said she approached the doctor to discuss her concerns, but her complaints were reportedly dismissed as nothing more than her imagination. The actress expressed disappointment over the response, saying that the experience caused her considerable mental distress.
She further revealed that the incident affected her confidence to such an extent that she remained indoors for several months and avoided going outside.
Reflecting on the experience, the senior actress stressed that doctors must take patients’ complaints seriously rather than dismissing their concerns.
She also emphasised the importance of providing patients with complete information before any cosmetic procedure, including possible side effects, associated risks and necessary precautions after treatment.
