Authorities have closed the road between Naran and Lake Saif-ul-Malook to all traffic due to heavy rain and the risk of a possible cloudburst.

Earlier, the Meteorological Department issued a weather alert, warning of below-normal rainfall and above-normal temperatures across most parts of the country from August to October 2026.
The forecast indicates that several regions may experience reduced rainfall during the period, while higher-than-average temperatures could increase the risk of heatwaves and weather-related challenges.
According to weather forecasters, rainfall is expected to remain below normal in many areas of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan during August. Deficient rainfall is also likely in parts of northeastern Punjab, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to receive near-normal rainfall.
