The newest entry in the Crazy Taxi video game series is set to launch next year, called Crazy Taxi: World Tour.
It centers on Axel as he pursues the thieves who took his taxi, speeding through five cities around the globe.
This game will include extreme driving, allowing players to earn in-game points and cash by transporting passengers and completing various main missions and side tasks.
Sega mentions that players can “Play Your Way” with a selection of vehicles and customisation options.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour will also have an Arcade Mode, letting players enjoy the classic game. Additionally, there will be a multiplayer feature with multiple game modes.
The upcoming Crazy Taxi game will be available on all platforms next year, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. You can add it to your wish list now, but the price has not yet been announced.
Crazy Taxi is a racing game series created by Hitmaker and published by Sega. It first launched as an arcade game in 1999 and was then released for the Dreamcast in 2000. It ranks as the third best-selling Dreamcast game in the U.S., with over a million copies sold.
The main goal is to get passengers to their destinations quickly in a vast city. Players compete against a tight countdown timer and perform risky driving tricks to gain extra money and time bonuses.
This new reboot aims to include a large multiplayer open-world setting while keeping the fast-paced, chaotic driving style of the original games.
