The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the expected result date for the written part of the CSS Examination 2026 on Tuesday.

According to a public notice issued by the FPSC on August 4, 2026, the written CSS 2026 result is expected to be announced in the first week of September.
The commission has asked candidates to keep checking the official FPSC website for the latest updates about the examination process.
Earlier, the Senate Standing Committee discussed a proposal to increase the upper age limit for CSS candidates.
The committee also reviewed matters related to the FPSC, the CSS examination, and possible reforms to Pakistan’s civil service recruitment system.
During the meeting, members shared different suggestions to improve the country’s bureaucracy and the overall recruitment process.
Is Pakistan’s CSS age limit changing
The Senate Standing Committee discussed several proposals to improve Pakistan’s civil service recruitment system.
This included a proposal to increase the upper age limit for CSS candidates. However, the committee did not make a final decision on the proposal.
Officials told the committee they do not support raising the age limit. They said it could reduce the number of years civil servants work in government service and may affect the efficiency of the civil service.
The committee chairman said many countries have replaced the traditional CSS recruitment system with more modern methods.
He also said recommendations on CSS reforms and recruitment have already been submitted for further review. The meeting ended without any final decision.
Meanwhile, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) rejected reports claiming that CSS applications have dropped by 45 per cent.
The commission said the reports were based on incomplete data and did not reflect the full recruitment process. It added that comparing the 2022 and 2025 application figures was not accurate.
