Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday held a telephone conversation with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, to discuss bilateral relations and the evolving regional situation.
During the call, Safadi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in helping to reduce regional tensions. Dar, in turn, reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to promoting constructive engagement among all parties.
According to a spokesperson for the Foreign Office, the two leaders also discussed ongoing efforts aimed at advancing peace talks and ensuring regional stability.
Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support for stability and the peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. Both leaders expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Jordan.
The spokesperson added that the importance of maintaining close cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral forums was emphasised during the conversation. The two leaders also agreed to remain in close contact moving forward.
It is worth mentioning here that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss the evolving regional situation and efforts for peace. This telephonic conversation was held last month.
During the call, both leaders reviewed the latest developments in the region and exchanged views on key challenges affecting stability. They stressed that dialogue and diplomatic engagement remain essential tools for achieving lasting peace and avoiding further escalation.
