The Punjab government has made it easier for people to get driving license services from home. For this purpose, the Dastak application has been connected with the Driving License Information Management System (DLIMS), and now people can easily get their driving license.
According to the Punjab Traffic Police, citizens can now use the Dastak app to access different driving license services without visiting government offices.
The step has been taken to make the driving license process easier and save people’s time.
Through the application, people can apply for a learner’s driving license from their homes. They can also renew their driving license when it expires.
The app also allows users to apply for a duplicate license if their original license is lost or damaged. People who need an international driving license for travel abroad can also submit their applications online.
Punjab Traffic Police said the fee for a learner’s driving license is Rs500 for each category. The charges for renewal and duplicate licenses will be according to the category of the vehicle or motorcycle under government rules.
Citizens can download the Dastak app from the Play Store to get information and services related to motorcycle, car, jeep, LTV and HTV licenses.
People have also been advised to visit the official website of Punjab Traffic Police for further information and guidance.
