Earthquake tremors were felt in Jehlum, Sarai Alamgir and surrounding areas, triggering panic among residents.
Following the sudden tremors, several people rushed out of their homes, shops and other buildings and moved towards open and safer areas.
Initial reports suggest that tremors were felt across Jehlum, Sarai Alamgir and nearby areas. However, details regarding the earthquake’s magnitude, epicentre and depth have yet to be confirmed.
Earthquake in Swat
Back on July 28, a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck Swat. The earthquake caused brief panic among residents. However, no casualties or property damage were reported.
According to the Seismological Centre and the district administration, the earthquake occurred at 12:40 PM. Its epicentre was at a depth of 166 kilometres.
The tremors were felt in several parts of Swat. Some residents came out of their homes and workplaces as a safety precaution.
Officials said the situation remained normal after the earthquake, with no reports of injuries or damage.
Authorities continued to monitor the area and advised residents to stay alert and follow safety guidelines in case of aftershocks.
Before that, on July 19, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Quetta late at night. No casualties or property damage were reported.
According to the Seismological Centre and the district administration, the earthquake occurred at 11:27 PM. It had a depth of 15 kilometres and its epicentre was about 37 kilometres northeast of Quetta.
The tremors were felt in different parts of the city. Some residents came out of their homes and workplaces as a safety precaution.
