England has revealed their 16-man squad for the first two Tests of their home series against Pakistan, with Joe Root to captain them.
The eagerly awaited first Test will kick off in Leeds at Headingley on August 19.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) admitted that Jacob Bethell due to injury has been ruled out of the series, meaning the selectors were forced to make a change ahead of the opening fixture.
The team has a mix of experience and potential. Senior players Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson and spinner Shoaib Bashir have all joined the squad, which also includes captain Joe Root.

England has also selected a solid batting unit with Harry Brook, Ben Duckett, Jordan Cox and wicketkeeper Jamie Smith providing them with depth and Sam Cook and fast bowler Brydon Carse also bringing some depth to the bowling.
Matthew Fisher, Emilio Gay, Ollie Robinson and Dan Lawrence have also been named in the squad, providing extra options for both batting and bowling.
The 16-player group also include vice-captain Ollie Pope and fast bowler Josh Tongue.
The first two Tests could be pivotal in the series as both England and Pakistan need to get a good start.
England are looking to make the most of their home advantage and Pakistan hope to give the hosts a run for their money with a well-rounded team of their own.
The series has some big names from both Pakistan and England and also includes youngsters looking to make their mark in cricket and with both sides looking to give it their all. It is expected that the series will be very entertaining to watch later this month in Leeds
