Euro drops below 320 against PKR after Islamabad MoU deal

Euro rate has dropped below 320 Pakistani Rupee (PKR) to 318.89 after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

On the other hand, the US Dollar stands at 278.26 PKR.

The British Pound has also undergone changes since the deal, going from 368.35 PKR to 367.46 now.

The Pakistani Rupee was stable against the UAE Dirham (AED), now at 75.77 PKR.

It gained one paisa against the Saudi Riyal, which currently stands at 74.14 PKR.

The PKR also saw changes against the Australian Dollar (AUD), now at 195.2.

However, we can expect to see more changes in currency rates, including the Euro rate against the PKR in the upcoming days.

PM Shehbaz announces MoU signing between US and Iran

The development comes after Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif announced the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday.

In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, he shared, “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding’ has been electronically signed today between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

PM Shehbaz Sharif continued, “The Memorandum has been signed by the honourable Presidents of both the countries and also endorsed by me as the mediator.”

He also mentioned the efforts of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
