In a post on her social media platform X, formerly Twitter, she talked about Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and how he is a key player in driving the talks.

In her video and post, she talked about how Pakistan became involved as a possible peacemaker between the two countries. She also discussed what it could mean if a deal is reached.

She also said that Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir is seen as an important figure in these efforts.

In her report, she said a truce between the US and Iran may be close. She said the United States has made clear that Iran should not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon. She also said Asim Munir is playing a key role in talks.

“Munir is known as Trump’s favourite field marshal, and he’s become an unlikely driver for the talks,” she said.

She described him as a former intelligence chief and said he has become an unexpected link in the discussions.

She also said former US President Donald Trump has shown interest in Pakistan over the past year. Further, she mentioned Pakistan’s role in earlier regional peace efforts as well.

The report also said that Pakistan has been seen as a country that can communicate with different sides in Iran. It said this may help in building internal agreement within Iran.

“He’s also won the respect of the Iranians. Iran’s new supreme leader, Mujtaba Khamenei, described Pakistan as a brotherly country that his late father was also fond of,” she added.

She also said relations between Pakistan and Iran had tensions in early 2024 after cross-border strikes. However, she said relations have improved since then through dialogue.

She added that Pakistan may act as a facilitator in talks. But any final agreement will depend on decisions made by both the US and Iran. She further said that if Pakistan helps achieve lasting peace, it could improve the country’s international image.
