Field Marshal Asim Munir’s tie trends on social media

Field Marshal Asim Munir has drawn public attention after being seen wearing a green necktie featuring a subtle Pakistan Armed Forces emblem when receiving the United States (US) Vice President JD Vance ahead of the Islamabad peace talks 2026.

At first glance, the tie looked like an elegant formal accessory. However, closer images revealed that it featured the emblem of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.

These details add symbolic meaning to the outfit of the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

The green colour of the tie is also very significant. It is associated with Pakistan’s national identity and its flag.

Netizens appreciated that the choice of neckwear reflected a sense of pride and connection to the military of the country.

Islamabad Peace Talks 2026

On April 11 and 12, Pakistan held the Islamabad Talks 2026, where Iran and the US engaged in a 21-hour-long talk.

The talks took place in Islamabad after Pakistan brokered a two-week-long ceasefire after a 40-day war between the countries.

However, after the talks concluded, JD Vance revealed the update in a short media briefing.

He added Iran chose “not to accept our terms” at the talks, adding that the US needs to see a “fundamental commitment” from Tehran not to develop nuclear weapons.

There are speculations about a round two of talks too, however, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

PM, Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded

Pakistan yet again showcased its role as an important player on the global front after brokering the ceasefire.

The ceasefire is not only being described as a great step towards peace, but also as a huge diplomatic feat for the country.

In this achievement, the PM of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, along with the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, have played major roles.
