Fitna al-Khawarij’s Afghan suicide bomber targets Kabal Police Station Swat; several injured

An Afghan suicide bomber affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij targeted police officers in front of the main gate of a Kabal police station in Swat, injuring several people and raising fears of further casualties.

According to details, an Afghan Khawarij suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in front of the main gate of the Kabal Police Station in the Kabal area of Swat at around 6:15 pm on Sunday. Several people were injured in the explosion, while fears of casualties remain.

Preliminary information suggests that, at the time of the incident, residents were participating in a peace march aimed at promoting peace in the area.

The Afghan suicide bomber, who was among the participants of the peace march, detonated himself, injuring civilians and police personnel.

The attack once again highlights concerns that Fitna al-Khawarij elements are attempting to undermine peace, stability, and public unity in the area and disrupt efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace in the region.

Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies promptly reached the site, cordoned off the area, and began collecting evidence. Further investigation into the incident is underway. The powerful explosion resulted in multiple casualties, triggering an immediate emergency response from police, rescue teams, and local authorities.

The injured were transported to Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital for medical treatment, while security forces cordoned off the area and began a search operation.
