Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Zhob district in Balochistan on Eidul Azha to celebrate the occasion with frontline troops deployed along Pakistan’s western border.

The visit began with Eid prayers and special prayers for the country’s peace, stability and prosperity, as well as for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan.

Field Marshal Asim Munir extended Eid greetings to officers and soldiers and praised their courage, dedication and operational readiness in the fight against terrorism.

He appreciated the troops for their sacrifices and efforts in protecting the country from terrorist threats and hostile forces.

Referring to the recent terrorist attack in Quetta, the army chief said such attacks could not weaken the determination of Pakistan’s armed forces or the nation.

He said the morale of both the troops and the people of Pakistan remains strong and assured that the armed forces, along with law enforcement agencies and the people of Balochistan, will continue operations against terrorists and their supporters.

During the visit, the army chief also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and paid tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives in defence of the country.

Commander Quetta Corps received the Field Marshal on his arrival.

Pakistan’s armed forces extended Eidul Azha greetings to the nation and paid tribute to martyrs, saying they remain committed to defending the country’s sovereignty and supporting the people for lasting peace and stability.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu conveyed Eidul Azha greetings to the people of Pakistan.

The ISPR said the armed forces also honoured the sacrifices of citizens, martyrs, law enforcement personnel and all those working to protect the country.
