Girls dominate AJK Matric results, sweep top positions

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpur has announced the results of the 2026 annual Matriculation (SSC Part-II) examinations, with female students taking most of the top positions.

Female students secured all three top positions in the General Group and also shared the first position in the Science Group, along with several other top slots.

In the female Science Group, Samia Chaudhry of Peace Educational Institute Sehnsa, Kotli; Imama Muzammil of Red Foundation College Mirpur; and Mehroosh Naeem Abbasi of Red Foundation High School Singer Bathara, Bagh, jointly secured first position with 1,184 marks out of 1,200.

Makhzara Shahid and Natalia Mehboob jointly secured second position with 1,183 marks, while Warda Amjad, Adeeba Zaheer, Momina Shahid, Sana Ejaz and Aiman Ejaz jointly secured third position with 1,182 marks.

In the male Science Group, Abdullah Riaz of Government High School Gorah, Sudhanoti, secured first position with 1,178 marks.

Ahmed Tahir Raja of Red Foundation High School Dhirkot, Bagh, and Sarmad Hafeez Awan of Red Foundation School Bagnam, Muzaffarabad, jointly secured second position with 1,176 marks. Raja Hassan Ali of the same school secured third position with 1,175 marks.

In the female General Group, Faryal Imran of Government Girls High School Makhyala, Bagh, secured first position with 1,127 marks. Imama Fatima of Kashmir Public School Phagwari, Kotli, stood second with 1,110 marks, while Amreen Mazhar of Royal Model School Bhimber secured third position with 1,108 marks.

In the male General Group, private candidate Abdullah Masood Tauheedi from Bagh secured first position with 1,117 marks. Muhammad Ayan of Government Pilot High School Bagh secured second position with 1,110 marks, while private candidate Muhammad Areeb Khan from Bagh secured third position with 1,102 marks.

The results highlighted the strong performance of female students, who secured the top three positions in the General Group and shared the top position in the Science Group.
