Government increases petrol prices

The government increased petrol prices by Rs 3.34. After the increase, the new petrol price is Rs 334.54 per litre. On the other hand, after the increase of Rs 5.27 per litre in diesel, the new diesel price per litre is Rs 395.69.

Earlier, the new prices for petrol and diesel were announced in Pakistan for August 18, 2026. The price of petrol has been increased by Rs5.77 per litre, and the price of diesel has been increased by Rs6.47 per litre, according to the notification.

What are petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan for today?

The price of petrol has been set at Rs331.20 per litre, and the price of diesel has been set at Rs390.42 per litre. These prices have been changed for the next 24 hours.

Previously, petrol and diesel prices had changed several times under the government’s daily pricing system.

The government decided to keep the prices of petrol and diesel unchanged for the next three days last time.

Petrol continued to be sold at Rs325.43 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel remained at Rs383.95 per litre.

Earlier, on July 17, petrol became Rs5.44 more expensive while high-speed diesel increased by Rs31.50 per litre. Petrol reached Rs316.15 per litre and diesel stood at Rs354.35 per litre.

On July 20, petrol became cheaper by Rs0.35 and reached Rs315.80 per litre. However, diesel increased by Rs5.71 and reached Rs360.60 per litre.
