Director General of Immigration and Passports, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has announced that citizens will begin receiving their passports at their doorsteps from July 1, in a move aimed at eliminating the need for visits to passport offices and long waiting times.
According to official details, Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited passport sections and personally interacted with citizens, listening to their concerns and complaints. During the visit, he issued strict instructions to officials to ensure the immediate resolution of public grievances.
As part of efforts to improve public convenience, the DG Immigration ordered measures to make passport delivery services faster, more efficient, and more accessible. He announced that passports would now be delivered directly to citizens’ doorsteps through an enhanced home delivery system.
Randhawa said the upgraded service would become fully operational from July 1 and would function more transparently and effectively, saving citizens the inconvenience of repeatedly visiting offices and standing in long lines.
He also directed the concerned courier companies to ensure the timely and secure delivery of passports under all circumstances.
The DG Immigration emphasised that providing modern, efficient, and citizen-friendly passport services remains a top government priority, adding that further reforms will be introduced to continuously improve service quality and delivery standards.
