Rockstar Games has released Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, giving fans the most detailed official preview yet of the highly anticipated open-world game.
The roughly 27-minute presentation premiered on Netflix before being made available worldwide for free through Rockstar’s YouTube channel and official GTA 6 website. According to Rockstar, all footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.
The Extended Look puts protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos at the centre of the action as they navigate Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. The footage features shootouts, police pursuits, driving sequences and quieter interactions between the two characters.
Rockstar also offers an extensive look at the game’s open world, showcasing crowded beaches, highways, nightclubs, shops and other locations across Leonida. Recreational activities including basketball and scuba diving are also featured, alongside a greater emphasis on NPC activity and environmental detail.

The relationship between Jason and Lucia remains a major part of the story. Rockstar says the pair become caught in a criminal conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong, leaving them dependent on each other as they attempt to survive.
The presentation also highlights improvements to GTA 6’s shooting mechanics, vehicle gameplay and police encounters, while providing a closer look at the visual quality of the PlayStation 5 version.
Despite the extensive preview, Rockstar has yet to provide a detailed look at the next version of GTA Online, with the Extended Look primarily focused on the game’s story, characters and open world.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not yet announced a PC release date.
