Hasan Raheem’s ‘Bewajah’ highlights Pakistani culture

Popular Pakistani singer and songwriter, Hasan Raheem, also referred to as the ‘Gen Z poet of heartbreak’, released his single, ‘Bewajah’, featuring Umair, with a glimpse of Gilgi Baltsitan (GB).

‘Bewajah’ is an emotional song that combines Urdu and Shina lyrics, released earlier in March 2026.

The video for this song has been filmed in Gilgit and shows off the region’s landscapes and cultural traditions.

The song takes inspiration from the music and culture of Gilgit-Baltistan, where Hasan Raheem belongs from.

Its music video was filmed in the beautiful mountains of northern Pakistan, and also features a traditional polo match, highlighting an important part of the region’s culture.

Hasan appears in white clothes and jewellery, while the surrounding crowd wears black, creating a striking visual effect and adds to the video’s unique style.

Moreover, Singer Meesha Shafi also previously submitted her album ‘Khilnay Ko’ for consideration.
