Recently, at a special event honoring Faysal Qureshi, Humayun Saeed shared that his mother has a fondness for Faysal Quraishi’s acting skills.
While discussing this, Humayun Saeed mentioned, “Faysal is such a talented actor that I feel it’s the perfect time to tell this story. My mother did an interview around fifteen or twenty years ago, possibly on Geo. She rarely agreed to appear on TV, and she was quite straightforward, always speaking her mind.
“In that interview, she was asked, ‘Your son is doing great acting.’ To which she responded, ‘No, my son isn’t a great actor, he just acts with a straight face. I prefer Faisal Qureshi because he is a wonderful actor,” he added.
Humayun went on to say, “Moms always tell the truth about their kids, but back then, I didn’t appreciate her comment because I was a new actor enjoying my success. I thought she could have complimented both of us, but that’s alright. The reason I’m sharing this story now is that he is genuinely an exceptional actor.”
