Further, IESCO has advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance to minimise inconvenience during the scheduled shutdown period.
Although electricity supply may be restored before the announced closing time, if maintenance activities are completed earlier. Consumers have also been encouraged to stay updated through official announcements and notices regarding the maintenance schedule and any changes that may take place.
On the other hand, gas shortage in Lahore worsened, with Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) reportedly failing to provide adequate gas pressure to consumers even during designated cooking hours.
The shortage has severely disrupted daily routines, particularly meal preparation, leaving residents struggling to cook food.
Although the federal government has announced a gas supply schedule with pressure during morning, afternoon, and evening hours, consumers say SNGPL has not been implementing it effectively. Residents complain that gas pressure is almost non-existent.
