Iran has carried out drone attacks on US naval ships in response to US action, after which tensions in the region have further increased.
According to a spokesperson of Iran’s Joint Military Command Khatam al-Anbiya, this action was taken when last night the United States seized an Iranian commercial vessel after attacking it.
The spokesperson said that the ship that was targeted was coming from China to Iran and that the attack is a clear violation of the ceasefire.
Iranian authorities have called the US action armed robbery and have made it clear that a strong response will be given.

According to the spokesperson, Iran will take every possible step to protect its maritime borders and commercial interests, and the possibility of further retaliatory actions also exists.
On the other hand, according to the US position, this action has been described as a violation of blockade rules and the Iranian ship was taken into custody, however Iran has rejected this position.
After the latest developments, tensions between the two countries have once again intensified, and if this situation continues, mutual trust may suffer a severe blow even before the proposed negotiations.
Increasing tensions in the region may not only affect the diplomatic process but there is also a fear that it may impact global trade routes.
