The representative of Iran at the United Nations expressed gratitude to Pakistan, China and Russia for having held a principled stance condemning the American and Israeli attacks on Iran.
The Iranian envoy defined the support of these countries as extremely important and said that such attacks are not legal and unjustified.
Iranian officials especially expressed thanks to Pakistan as Pakistan is the only Muslim nation which openly condemned the aggressive action taken by Israel and the United States against Iran and made full support.
According to Iran’s state TV, in this attack the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was martyred, which has increased the tensions in that region.
China’s Prior Warning and Advisories for Travel
Meanwhile, China said it was deeply concerned about the rising tensions in Iran and the region, and called for an immediate ceasefire, as further escalation could lead to instability in the whole Middle East.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said Iran’s sovereignty and security, and its territorial integrity, should be honored and that all sides should exercise restraint and return to negotiations.
For the sake of its people, China has put out travel advisories. Chinese citizens who are in Israel have been ordered to relocate to safe places or perhaps by the Taba border passing to Egypt.
Chinese citizens in Iran have also been advised to depart as soon as possible.
Global Reaction
It is evident that the principled position of Pakistan, China and Russia can play an important role in safeguarding the sovereignty of Iran and towards reducing the tension in the region.
On the other hand, the recent actions of the United States and Israel gives rise to serious concerns in the context of regional security and will possibly have diplomatic and political effects at the global level.
