After the US-Israel strikes on Iran, the people of Pakistan have started protests. In this scenario, the Central Anjuman-e-Imamia Gilgit Baltistan has called for peaceful protests amid Iran situation.
The Central Anjuman Gilgit-Baltistan has called on Muslims to stage peaceful protests following what the attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran by the United States and Israel.
In a statement issued from Gilgit, the organisation strongly condemned the reported aggression and termed it an assault on a “free and proud Islamic country.”
The statement also expressed condolences over the alleged martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, referring to him as a symbol of resistance and a representative of Islam.
The Anjuman described his reported killing as a moment of grief for freedom-loving people around the world.
According to the announcement, a protest rally will be held in Gilgit after Zuhr prayers, departing from the Central Imamia Jamia Masjid.
Participants have been urged to gather in large numbers to record their protest.
The organisation further appealed to those unable to reach Gilgit to hold peaceful demonstrations in their respective areas after Zuhr prayers.
It said that the future course of action would be announced by the leadership at a later stage.
A special request was made to all participants to maintain discipline, unity, and adherence to the law while expressing their sentiments in a peaceful manner.
