Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is expected to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow on a one-day official visit, according to sources.

Sources said the visit is likely to serve as an opportunity for the Iranian president to express gratitude for Pakistan’s support and cooperation during recent developments.

During his stay, President Pezeshkian is expected to hold separate meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to sources, discussions will focus on key bilateral issues, including border security, trade, energy cooperation and regional connectivity. The leaders are also expected to review recent diplomatic engagements and the implementation of existing memorandums of understanding between the two neighbouring countries.

Sources further revealed that enhancing economic ties will remain a major agenda item, as both Pakistan and Iran have already expressed their commitment to significantly increasing bilateral trade in the coming years.

The visit is being viewed as an important step toward strengthening political, economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
