IRGC allows Pakistani oil tanker pass Hormuz

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) allowed a Pakistani oil tanker named “Khairpur Ship” to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The Pakistani oil tanker is loaded with 8 billion barrels of diesel.

According to the media report, the safe passing of the Pakistani oil tanker is a huge success for Pakistan.

According to PNSC sources, the ship ‘Khairpur’ with 80 million litres of diesel has entered the Strait of Hormuz.

Sources say that the ship bringing diesel from the Kuwaiti port will anchor at Karachi port.

Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) had reportedly blocked two Indian-flagged oil tankers from transiting the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy shipping route.

According to Arab media reports, the vessels came under fire while attempting to pass through the waterway. One of the ships is identified as a very large crude carrier (VLCC) supertanker.

The tankers are said to be carrying approximately 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude oil, though full details of the cargo and routing remain unconfirmed. The Strait of Hormuz, which handles nearly one-fifth of global oil shipments, remains a high-tension maritime chokepoint amid ongoing regional instability.
