Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister (FM), Ishaq Dar, held a telephonic conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan al Saud, about the Doha negotiations between the US and Iran.
Both of the leaders discussed regional developments, diplomatic engagement and the latest round of negotiations held in Doha.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the two ministers reviewed recent developments in the Doha talks and expressed satisfaction over what it described as positive progress during the latest round of negotiations.
The statement said both sides voiced hope that dialogue between the parties would continue, with the aim of helping to promote lasting peace and stability in the region.
During the conversation, the two foreign ministers also agreed on the need to strengthen diplomatic efforts and maintain close coordination to address ongoing regional challenges.
They stressed the importance of continued dialogue and engagement among all relevant parties as part of efforts to reduce tensions and support regional stability.
According to the Foreign Office, Prince Faisal bin Farhan also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to implement a memorandum of understanding signed in Islamabad, saying the country’s role was important in promoting regional cooperation and stability.
The two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia through closer cooperation in diplomacy, economic relations and initiatives aimed at supporting regional peace.
The Foreign Office said both leaders expressed hope that continued diplomatic engagement would help ease tensions and contribute to long-term stability in the region.
