Islamabad is set to witness aerial operations tomorrow as officials have declared the “Marka-e-Haq” flypast exercise, which is scheduled for 8 May 2026.
Fighter jets and various aircraft are expected to engage in activities over the capital’s airspace starting in the morning.
This exercise will result in a major increase in jet activity and aerial maneuvers, forming part of standard training operations and preparations associated with a national event.
In view of the Marka-e-Haq exercise in Islamabad, residents have been informed that all such activities are part of planned drills, and there is no reason for alarm or worry.
Marka-e-Haq served as a defensive and justified reaction during the conflict. It is being used to emphasise Pakistan’s stance that it responded to aggression, maintained military readiness, and upheld strategic deterrence throughout the escalation period.
Such aerial displays are frequently used to show the professional skills, coordination, and preparedness of fighter jet formations, particularly in light of increased regional tensions and previous military encounters with India.
Marka-e-Haq anniversary celebrations to be held across Pakistan
This announcement coincides with the celebrations of “Marka-e-Haq,” which reflects on the recent period of intensified tensions and military confrontations with India, especially the escalation that occurred in May 2025. This phase involved cross-border strikes, retaliatory measures, and ultimately a ceasefire agreement.
Earlier, the Command & Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, paying tribute to the sacrifices made during the May 2025 conflict.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff, remarked on the historic triumph as an enduring testament to national unity and unwavering resolve to defeat any external aggression with an iron fist.
