Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is closer than ever to being finalised, signalling progress in ongoing diplomatic discussions.
In a statement shared on social media, Araghchi urged the media to avoid speculation regarding the contents of the agreement until it is formally concluded.
He emphasised that premature reporting or assumptions could misrepresent the nature of the understanding currently being developed between the concerned parties.
Reaffirming Iran’s commitment to transparency and responsible diplomacy, the minister said that all details of the MoU will be made public in due course once the process is complete.
He stressed that the approach being adopted aims to ensure clarity and avoid misinformation.
The remarks come amid heightened interest in regional diplomatic engagements, with observers closely watching developments linked to Pakistan and Iran.
However, Araghchi’s statement suggests that while progress is being made, the finalisation of the agreement is still underway.
