Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif visited Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore and reviewed passenger facilities, development projects and measures to improve travellers’ experience.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority, Asif directed airport authorities to set up additional search counters to speed up the clearance of female passengers and reduce their waiting time.
The minister inspected the newly built immigration area and reviewed ongoing development work. He also checked passenger facilities at the international and domestic departure areas.
Asif directed officials to maintain high standards of passenger services and ensure the timely completion of ongoing renovation and upgradation projects.
He also ordered the authorities to complete the expansion of the departure drop-off lane on a priority basis to ease traffic congestion at the airport.
While reviewing construction work in the domestic departure area, the minister stressed the need to complete the project on time and ensure maximum convenience for passengers.
