After an end to the political tensions, sit-ins and continuous protests that marked the PTI era in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, practical steps have now been initiated to put the province on the path of genuine development.

In the provincial capital, Peshawar, work on several important infrastructure rehabilitation and construction projects has been accelerated to facilitate residents and provide a permanent solution to the traffic problems they face.

Among these development initiatives, the highly important and busiest Pushtakhara Chowk Underpass project in Peshawar is at the forefront, with its construction now moving towards the final stages. The administration has increased machinery and manpower, with work continuing day and night to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated time and opened for public use.

Due to the political turmoil and continuous protest activities during the PTI era, several important public projects in the province remained slow-paced, causing local traders and ordinary citizens to suffer from hours-long traffic jams and travel difficulties. However, with a shift in new administrative priorities, attention is now being focused on the construction of modern roads, underpasses and flyovers, particularly in Peshawar and across the province.

The construction of this modern underpass at Pushtakhara Chowk will not only provide permanent relief from traffic congestion to thousands of citizens, students and businesspeople who travel daily, but will also make it possible to save fuel and valuable time.

Citizens have expressed satisfaction over this new wave of development projects and voiced hope that, by upgrading Peshawar’s old and modern zoning, more projects aimed at the genuine welfare and well-being of the public will be introduced across the province.
