In a new development in the Lahore Ichra incident, police have ruled out any affair as the reason behind the mother killing her three young children.
According to DSP Qamar Abbas, poverty and domestic pressure led the mother to kill her children.
He said that the father was earning Rs30,000, due to which there was a lot of pressure.
The husband allegedly pressured the wife to seek financial help from her parents, who were also poor. He added that tensions escalated after a dispute with the mother-in-law and verbal abuse from the husband.
The police said that the woman had told the authorities that she was tired of the daily fights, hence she made the decision.
It is pertinent to mention that early reports suggested that she wanted to divorce her husband, Ramzan, and marry Shehryar. They said the children became an obstacle, which led to the crime. However, this is not true.
