Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz extended Eidul Azha greetings to the people of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah, saying the festival promotes sacrifice, compassion, love, and humanity.
In her Eid message, she said Muslims who follow the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) by offering sacrifice deserve respect and appreciation. She added that Eidul Azha teaches people to give up personal desires for the sake of Allah and to include poor and needy people in the celebrations.
The Punjab chief minister paid tribute to the personnel of the Pakistan Armed Forces serving on the borders and said the nation will always remember their sacrifices.
She also praised sanitation workers and other staff who continued cleanliness and public service work during the Eid holidays.
Maryam Nawaz expressed solidarity with the families of martyrs and said the nation remains grateful for their sacrifices and the sacrifices of their loved ones.
She also paid tribute to those martyred due to Israeli aggression, including young female students, and urged the international community to raise its voice for oppressed people around the world.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif offered Eidul Azha prayers with thousands of worshippers and called on the nation to promote unity, sacrifice, and compassion on the religious occasion.
President Zardari offered Eid prayers at Zardari House in Nawabshah, where many citizens and dignitaries joined the congregation. He prayed for the country’s security, progress and prosperity and later exchanged Eid greetings with citizens and local elders.
In his Eid message, President Zardari said Eidul Azha teaches Muslims the values of obedience, patience and sacrifice shown by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS). He stressed the need to strengthen national harmony, brotherhood and support for underprivileged people.
